Welcome to our Home

Villa rental in Peyia, Cyprus                        Maximum 6 adults in 3 double bedrooms

The Villa Iptamena

(House of the Flying Fish)

We are Peter and Margaret, a retired couple living here in Peyia during the winter and in South Devon (UK) during the summer.  The Villa Iptamena has been our home for almost 50 years.

It is where we brought our young family for their holidays and where they now bring their children.   So nothing gives us greater pleasure than to hear that our summer guests have also enjoyed their stay in this, the most friendly and hospitable of all Cypriot villages.

Our Place

We were the first British family to come and live amongst the Cypriots in Peyia.  We bought the Shoemakers Cottage in 1973 and in recent years have incorporated it into a new villa with modern conveniences.

It now sleeps 6 in 3 double bedrooms, each with its own bath or shower room plus a separate kitchen and living room and 2 dining areas (one indoors and one out).  Almost every room has its own balcony from which guests enjoy the most amazing views of 15 miles of Mediterranean coastline.

With its large rooms spaced well apart, Villa Iptamena is ideal for extended family holidays or 2 couples sharing.  Guests enjoy modern facilities plus all the atmosphere of a 100 year old Cypriot village house.

Location

Our villa is located right in the heart of the old village of Peyia.  It is just a short stroll (250 meters) down the hill to the village square, the church, tavernas, restaurants, coffee shops and village stores.

The glorious sandy beaches of Coral Bay lie immediately below the village just 5 minutes by car from the villa.

Paphos, the local town and ancient capital of Cyprus is 20 minutes drive down the coast.  Here you will find everything from local markets to World Heritage sites and modern shopping malls.

Don’t Miss

The Paphos Region is, without doubt, the most interesting, diverse and beautiful part of the Republic of Cyprus.  In particular you should visit the wild and beautiful Akamas National Park just 4 miles up the coast from our villa - here you can explore:

  • The amazing Avakas Gorge.

  • The lovely sandy beaches at Lara with its green back turtles - one of only two places in the world where they come to breed.

  • Fontana Amorosa (Fountain of Love) and the Blue Lagoon where you will swim in a sparkling crystal clear sea.

  • Miles of off-road tracks, hills, coastline and forests to explore.
